Alrighty, so its a bright Monday morning, and I have to say, for one week, I have been COMPLETELY out of order, Last week I felt stretched and tired, not from my little work outs but simply from life itself. Funny how quickly sadness rushes in when something you hoped for but knew not to get your hopes up for came crashing down. But anyways, after this weeks Pasta, Pies and potatoes frenzy, I am glad to announce that all my hard work the previous weeks paid off and I was a mere 1.3kgs up, to most that is huge but for me, iv done worse, and I can lose that in 3 days, so I am happy the damage isn't quite so extensive. So this evening I will be getting BACK ON MY HORSE!
And I suppose that is the most important thing about the process, getting back up once you have fallen down. Iv always wanted to know if all those little sayings are true, do you put on weight alot slower if you worked it off the hard way? Mmmm.. well if I were the "scientifically proven" population of 1, id say yes. I really thought this week I would have to have started from scratch, I was really surprised to learn that I wouldn't have to. Iv been on lots of fad diets, I lost 8kgs in one week from a cup of soup diet, drinking only low cal cup of soup, I was STARVING but I lost 8kgs, when I started eating like a human again, I put that all back in the snap of my fingers, and I wasnt eating breads and pasta...
My husband told me recently that he is going to be starting at the gym.. Men have the ability to pass wind and lose 3kgs (Not that he has anything to lose), that is my husband! We eat basically the same thing, lately, I have the fat free version, his weight stays consistent and mine is a wavy connect-the-dots. So he will be at the gym doing weight training or whatever men do to look all gorgeous like, doing his thing, I think in winter I will have to resort to the gym, but for now, I will stick to what I do.
During the weekend I was watching one of my all time favorite shows, Too fat for 15, yes, I am a Tanisha Mitchell fan (also a bit of a coach Nicole fan, isnt she just so sweet!) and Ashley was doing Yoga. And it made me think, perhaps I should try it, I am a firm believer that everyone should try everything most things at least once, and Yoga seems to be so serene.
PS: Get yourself watching some Too Fat for 15! It really is a great show, and you will really just fall in love with some of the kids because you know that their struggles were also once/still are the same as your own.
